Oh, but have you stayed at the Days Inn?
So, last Friday a pipe burst in my apartment and I was forced to find other living arrangements untill they dried out the joint. I stayed at die frau's place for a few days, but after 5 days of 5 animals total, fighting and pooping throughout the night, we had had enough. We were both so sleep deprived we couldn't function. So I decided to take my half of the pets to a 'pet-friendly' hotel? Did that exist? It should. Right? Well, yes they do. With the help of the google and the inter-web, I found one that wasn't downtown, overpriced, needed a reservation, or needed to see vaccination records. It was the lovely Days-Inn on Lombard. You haven't been? Oh you must. The smell of industrial strength cleaner was so strong that something must have died there at some point there. Aso, the fact that magnolia rolled around in her 'special spot' on the carpet like it was a dead seagull, confirmed my theory a little too. It was $89 a night and $10 for each pet. I mean the room was tiny. Basically big enough for the bed to fit in and that's it. But hey, I got good nights sleep, and at $10 a head, Magnolia and Friend didn't have to dig too deep into their furry pockets either.

Oh, and you shouldn't have allowed Mag and Friend to lay on that blanket. There's probably feces on it. ;)
